Suit Up!

Since you may be renting a suit, it’s a good idea to pick out your clothing first! If you have a date, be sure to coordinate colors with them so you show up looking great together. If you’re going with a group, this can be a perfect opportunity to showcase your style without worrying about coordinating!

So, first thing’s first, start with the tuxedo and go from there. How formal do you want to be? What’s the weather going to be like? Take these questions into consideration when picking out a tuxedo, because this is the part of your outfit that makes the biggest statement. From there, work your way into shirt and tie styles. We’re personally big fans of contrasting colors like red, black, and white.

Shoes are the last step! Dress shoes are worth the investment because most styles will stay in fashion for quite a few years. Start with a color that complements your suit, and then pick a style that feels right for you!
