Our Cosmetology Program
When you apply at Hair Professionals Career College, you can choose to start in either cosmetology or esthetics first! If you start with cosmetology, here’s a little of what you can expect from our program.
In the state of Illinois, you must complete a 1500 hour program to become licensed in cosmetology. In your time with us, you can expect to learn the following in our curriculum:
- Hair design
- And more!
We have partnered with amazing companies like Paul Mitchell, Dermalogica, Davines, MUD Makeup, and more! This means that you’ll have the opportunity to learn with some of the best products and tools in the industry.
We emphasize a hands-on learning environment. While we believe that bookwork is important, we do things a little differently because we want to ensure our students can graduate with confidence. Our curriculum is online-based, so our students have the ability to access their coursework anywhere. We also focus more time on practical knowledge, because when our students are successful, we’re successful.
Our Esthetics Program
Becoming licensed in esthetics in addition to cosmetology can help you offer more skills and abilities in your future career. Cosmetology can help you with hair and the basics of facials and makeup, but esthetics can help you dive into the world of skincare, waxing, in-depth makeup knowledge, eyelash extensions, and more.
An esthetics license in the state of Illinois takes 750 hours of coursework. At Hair Professionals Career College, if you have finished with either a cosmetology or esthetics program with us, you are eligible for an alumni discount if you choose to pursue another license!
