The Magic of MUD Makeup

One of the most exciting parts of each new class that starts at Hair Pros is when we give out makeup kits to our students! We’ve partnered with Makeup Designory (MUD) to provide a modern makeup education that comes with large and robust makeup kit as well. These kits are very popular with our students, so here’s a breakdown of the kits and why students love them so much:

About MUD

MUD was founded in 1997 and began with a humble 800 square-foot location in North Hollywood. The very first MUD makeup courses were taught in that building.. Since then, MUD has expanded to become a huge, globally-recognized beauty brand. MUD now offers four comprehensive makeup programs at their main campuses in Los Angeles and New York, as well as in their partnership schools throughout the United States. Hair Professionals Career College is proud to be counted among MUD’s many partner schools!

The Kits

Our cosmetology and esthetics programs both have unique kits.. Our cosmetology students receive the Make-up Fundamentals Small Kit, pictured below. This kit comes with everything a cosmetologist might need to get their makeup toolkit started. The student receives an assortment of makeup, brushes, sponges, and much more to help them as they learn to apply makeup for their clients. The kit usually retails for around $252, but our cosmetology students get it included in the cost of the class kit!

Our esthetics students receive the Make-up Fundamentals Large Kit, pictured below. This kit comes with a huge assortment of makeup, pencils, brushes, curlers, and lots more! It all comes in a MUD makeup bag so our students can easily carry it between class and the student spa. This kit normally retails for $665, but like the other kit, the cost is included as part of the class kit! The MUD Education

The partnership between Hair Professionals and MUD is important for a few reasons. First of all, the products are high quality, and our students get very excited about them. MUD operates out of Burbank, California. Being right near Hollywood, MUD has a finger on the pulse about how to do makeup for the stars!

Second, MUD owns and runs their own schools as well, so they understand what it’s like to teach makeup at a beauty school. The MUD education curriculum is excellent and designed with beauty school students in mind. The company is very innovative and strives to stay on top of the latest makeup trends!
