At Hair Professionals Career College, we can help you prepare for state licensure to become a cosmetologist in Illinois. If you’re ready to get started, contact us today to speak with an admissions representative!
Tour a School!
One of the best places to get started is by going on a virtual or in-person tour of a beauty school. Tours will allow you to get a feel for the environment of the school, how and where the students learn, meet future instructors, and talk with an admissions representative. Follow these tips to ensure you get the most out of your tour:
- Read about the cosmetology program online.
- Make a list of questions beforehand.
- Bring something to write on.
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions!
It’s okay to feel nervous, but school representatives are excited to help prospective students! It can also be helpful for a lot of students to bring a friend. Contact us to learn more about the types of tours we are currently offering!
*We are currently only offering virtual tours. When quarantine measures are lifted we will return to in-person tours.
Decide How to Pay for School
There are various ways students can pay for school. If you are interested in financial aid*, you’ll want to start by contacting us to speak to an admissions representative. After that, the next step will be to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). FAFSA will help you determine if you are eligible for grants, unsubsidized loans, or subsidized loans for your education.
Aside from financial aid, there are other ways to pay for school! There are scholarships for many types of students. From high school graduate scholarships to transferring students, check out our full list of scholarships to see which ones you might qualify for!
